καλή αρχή...

A few photos of dragonflies and other friendly insects and amphibians which i took in summer at mountain Athos (monastery of Iviron-Ιβήρων)

this frogs name is Rana Ridibunda or else "Aphasius"...it liked a lot to pose for my lens...

a male dragonfly, Onychogomphus Forcipatus very friendly; he even landed on my fingers a few times, thats why i managed to take a few good shots of him...

this is a very small Bombina Variegata, i like the peculiar sound it makes. It is quite peaceful amphibian compared to rana dalmatina and ridibunda which are more scared of people. it is also called yellow bellied toad.

this one is from genus Rana, its called Rana dalmatina

a very good camouflage

small butterfly Coenonympha pamphilus.

a tiny damselfly, male (in some species males are blue and females yellow). Its called Platycnemis pennipes. Few times instead of photographing him i kept him on my finger observing the amazing tiny details on him, its so impressive...
